Extendable Dump System

Bateman offers proprietary spreader systems, which were developed to suit local conditions and requirements.

The extendable conveyor with tripper and spreader is a self advancing system with limited travel.

This system is used to form a finger type linear dump when it reaches the full length of the extendable conveyor, it is relocated to either extend the dump further or start a parallel dump.

Features :

  • 24 hours per day.
  • Unattended for periods up to 8 hours
  • Automatic slewing and push button advance
  • Advance and slew, running with full load
  • Limited advance without conveyor or belt extensions
  • Flood lighting on the machine and tripper structure to provide good lighting for safe operation at night
  • Storm brakes and outriggers to secure the machine during high wind conditions
  • Safe operation up to 80 km / hour wind
  • Access to full length of boom on one side by walkway
  • An anti-runback device is fitted to the travel drive of the spreader to prevent run back down slope under all conditions

Functional Features :

  • A positive no slip drive system suitable for the ramp slope and wind conditions
  • A method to prevent the machine from being driven over the edge of the ramp
  • A positive simple linkage between tripper and stacker
  • Slewing at 100° minimum either side of the ramp centre line
  • Slewing using a gear and Pinion system with hydraulic drive
  • Low ground bearing pressure under full operating conditions.
